We received the warmest of welcomes from the 2 sisters who run this site, despite arriving outside the office hours. One paid great attention to detail whilst checking us in and the other sister showed us to our pitch. She explained which way the sun rises and sets and suggested the best way to site our van. It was like having a personal tourist information office. They were constantly giving suggestions on where to go. The toilets/showers were scrubbed clean every day by a very efficient cleaner and the restaurant was most accommodating when my wife wanted a piece of cake to take away. One of the best sites we have been to. The owners try so hard they deserve to succeed; there are so many sites where the staff are ambivalent but this isn't one of them.(They also speak excellent English) We would definitely return.
Booked this site doe to close proximity of Zeebrugge Ferry Port for the last few days of our holiday, very pleasant staff and when they realised we were both in our seventies relocated us to a pitch near the toilets. The site was very quite with few touring visitors but many permanent residents were present, a further act of kindness we were allowed to remain on site after the set departure time before leaving for the night ferry to Hull.
Very clean staff friendly and helpful. showers free, very helpful about area where to go very close to burgges and Ostend easy tram and train travel would recommend to everyone 9/10 very good
Couple in a motorhome. First time on site. Well maintained site, on the edge of town and overlooking countryside. There are lots of statics but large camping area is next to the entrance around a large modern, clean sanitary block. Friendly welcome by lady on reception who was very helpful. We were able to choose our own pitch. All the motorhome pitches were full, these are small and we were glad we had a large flat grass pitch. Good wifi signal which you pay for. There is a large Delhaize supermarket 10 mins walk away, a further 5 minutes walk and you are at a tram stop, a further 5 minutes and you are on the promenade. Lots of bars/restaurants on the promenade near the Casino. Would return.
Good welcome from reception on arrival and offered a choice of the few pitches available. Pleased with the fully serviced pitch we chose which helped when the shower block was out of action for 2/3 days. Didn't use the restaurant so cannot comment but the site was a short walk from the beach and the lively town centre and very handy for Bruges, 15 minutes on the train. Would certainly return.
This was our second visit to the site. We really enjoyed ourselves and are looking forward to a return visit.
We stayed here during the Easter break so it was extremely busy. They really pack you in here so not a lot of room. The toilets need some serious upgrade as they were like old school toilets and showers. No hand wash provided and the sinks to wash your hands were in another room; so people just used the sinks which were for washing up, pretty disgusting. Blankenberge is a fab town though.
