Camping Lestaubiere ACSI 1727 at Pont St. Mamet, Douville 22nd to 25th April 2017
This is a superb site which is absolutely immaculate. The owners are very welcoming and helpful.
The pitches are enormous and range from full shade to full sun and all points in between.
The facilities blocks are clean and the water is hot. The laundry has modern commercial machines.
There are good walking trails from the site which are dog friendly. The local village is about 20 minutes walk away and has a good grocery store.
The only downside to this site is that a lot of pitches are sloping. I imagine that it may be quite difficult to find a pitch which would allow the unit to be level when it is busy. There is also a little bit of road noise.
We found an excellent level pitch on the opposite side of the lake from the bar/restaurant and swimming pool. The wifi and fishing are free.

A very nice camping site in great surroundings, unisex sanitary block may not be agreeable to all campers.

This site is naturally divided into 3 areas two of which are lawned and one under trees. All pitches are on grass which was lifted after cutting and the pitches were large. Showers are good and toilets spotless. Would recommend this site and would use it again.

Beautiful and peacefull site during the mid season. We stayed in June when the site was, in the main, occupied by couples of various nationalities, many of whom were retired. We had a very large pitch by the lake - the toilets were spotless and care taken in cleaning all the toilet/wash block buildings. Very quiet but some road noise evident from the N21 below in the valley if the wind is in that direction. Lovely swimming pool and terrace area. Good facilities for families with lots of equipment for children and we should imagine that it is very popular during the main holiday periods. Not too far to visit the lovely old town of Begerac with a very large commercial shopping centre out of town, also not far to go to Perigeux. Plenty of places to visit around and about by using the country roads to get off the busy Dordogne river roads.
Very friendly and helpful owners.

A well equipped and peaceful site in two parts - one mainly open and around a small lake, the other providing deep shade in the trees. Very helpful/friendly Dutch owners who speak good English. Free Wi-Fi and an excellent campsite restaurant on a most attractive terrace. It's a short walk into the village which has just one restaurant and bar and one (well equipped) shop. The immediate area has limited appeal but the campsite is a real gem
