Great little site. 15 minutes from Roscoff ferry. Originally for one night before moving south but the location was so good we stayed longer and again on the last leg home. Fab new toilet shower house with underfloor heating - wow. And the area so much nicer and interesting than much of the rest of Finister that we explored. My ratings only on those services we used.
FREE WIFI on the entire site no longer exists. 1/2 hour at the Campers kitchen per Day.
Then U Pay for it!!
Lots of ACSI customers Disappointed.
handy for the ferry pool wasn\'t all that warm has a steam room too the out door pool wasn\'t open as it was early may lovely see views toilet block very clean. you get 30 minutes free wifi a day then you have to pay need a long lead for hook up to electric pitches are a good size
Camping Ar Klenguer, St Pol d Pou (seven miles from Roscoff Ferry). Access is gained through a barrier system which is automatic (no security), I think the campsite is also across the road, although this was not viewed (I think it is statics). The gate closes at 10.30pm until 6am but there is a parking outside the gate. They take ACSI cards.
We stayed a couple of nights before catching our ferry to Plymouth and being so close we could assure a simple last couple of days, September 15.
This site is a mixture of static and touring pitches, kept apart.
The 1.5m hedge separated touring pitches are all a good size some with views across the bay, we were located blow a hill which offered additional protection from the wind. The pitches are a little off level, nothing the jockey wheel can not sort out. If it rains hard or long then the pitches do become muddy.
Electricity is provided on the pitches I explored (I guess all are electrified) but we needed to use about 20 meters of run. There is no pitches which have other services, all services are by reception, including toilets and I found a fresh water supply on the upper level.
There is 400mb of wifi a day available across the the campsite, a code is available from reception but after a short period my connection dropped off connection. Also watch out for apps updating as I was over limit almost right away.
We easily got a UK Freesat signal using a small Aldi dish, pointing over the bay.
There appears to be a shortcut from the area to a beach below for those who are planning to stay for a full on experience.
There are two toilet blocks one was locked at 7pm, the other was open all the time, both are clean. There is some toilets which have seats and some which do not, there is paper supplied and hand wash (but this was empty each time I tried to use it.
The shower area is unisex and again is clean, quite reasonable space in each booth.
The swimming pools are nice, the outdoor has slides, the indoor is of a good size with \'sun\' beds and lockers.
Other things noticed, a \'library\', microwave and kettle (aimed at backpackers I think), washing machines and dryers.
Possibly the best sanitaire block that I have ever visited. The site is well maintained and staff helpful. Pitches with sea views may be sloping but are, of course, the most popular. highly recommended
We chose this site to end our long trip because it was close to Roscoff, as a bonus we found this a superb site, very clean, plenty of facilities and our pitch had a great sea view. Loved watching the tides coming in and out, some good walks, the town is really nice and the weekly market is really worth going to.
This is a beautiful, very well maintained campsite near the beach and an approx 20 minute uphill walk to town. We chose to park our camper on a pitch near the entrance to the site rather than the much busier section which offered a sea view. It was less windy and certainly less crowded where we were. Beautiful views from the site and lovely dog walks along the beach and the pier. There is a very nice market in the town on Tuesday which we visited. The sanitaires are immaculate, although we thought the showers could have been hotter. Roscoff is not far away and this site is an excellent base for exploring this part of Brittany.
Excellent site with great views from the seaview pitches. we stayed on 116. Very clean site, well looked after. Friendly staff. Pizza van, creperie van visited the site while there. Handy for walk in to town. Even better for the beach. Bar on site with live music, disco etc. Small shop in the bar stocks basics but fresh bakery delivered bread. Handy for Roscoff some 15 mins drive away.
Very good campsite, easy access and good directions to site.
Better WiFi cover would make life easier. All round good site.
Stunning location just outside the town of St Pol de Leon. Camp has excellent facilities and is modern and well run. Good walk into town which has lots of shops and a really good Super U. The views from the site are wonderful where you can see lovely beaches, coastline and birds. Sunrise was quite spectacular. Busy site but friendly. Shame the bar/rest closed at end of August as the camp was still full mid September. Great for families and couples. Only 15 mins from Roscoff for those using the ferry to the UK.
