Travelling party: Couple

We stayed here for two nights in June the site was reasonably busy but not full we picked a pitch down near the road because I wanted to get satellite tv to watch rugby. The nicest pitches overlooking fields were at the top of the site. Our pitch did have some noise from the road if you were further up you wouldn\'t hear it. The site is lovely and clean and tidy with different pitches to suite all tastes.

Toilets were ok clean and adequate. The lady in the shop was friendly she didn\'t speak much English about as much as my French. There was a small cafe serving food I didn\'t try it but another camper told me it was good.

There are two nice bars across the road which also did take away and eat in food there was a lovely beach on the lake but you couldn\'t take dogs on it, although there was a small beach at the side which dogs were allowed. There is a cycle track which runs all around the lake and you can walk along it. You can hire bikes near the beach. I would definitely stay again.

Update on previous review. Showers very good, clean and hot. Old but looked after. Would stay again no question.

We arrived at about 18.30 on Friday 31st evening in March. The chap in reception couldn\'t have been more helpful an welcoming. Pitch very neat and tidy, facilities used but appear maintained. So far so good, can\'t fault it for an overnight stay, what will morning bring?

We stopped over here at the very end of February. Understandably the site looked a little shabby as our stay as so early. I can imagine that in summer it would be a perfect family location as just over the very quiet road was the amazing lake with what will obviously be pizza and snack bars to entertain. The welcome was a little lack lustre, but the area fabulous.

Very heavy rain which most of the grass pitches couldn\'t deal with, luckily there were some hard standing pitches available. Staff helpful. Electric supply L-N reversed. Lovely walk/ cycle route around very large lake. Good beach area for swimming in the lake in the main season. Heavy rain had brought out the biggest orange slugs I have ever seen in the wooded area round the lake. Stayed one night only as enroute south.

Have used this as a stopover twice. Good facilities and large pitches. Well kept surroundings. Drive over drain outside the campsite. Go to supermarket before you arrive as although reception has a small stock, you are some distance from shops. Can recommend this site. Good satellite reception and site wifi. Only downside is the noise from workers who live on site semi permanently, leaving for work early in the morning.

Pleasant, well organised clean site set in a pretty wooded area with large lakes and two golf courses nearby

Great location, short walk to the lake and beach. Nice, clean beach and lake good for swimming. Traditional French toilets that are in need of a bit of a refurb - need to take your own toilet roll. Pitches good, we pitched near the front so we could just see the lake. WiFi is only accessible around the reception area. Good selection of groceries in the reception area. Good value for money with ACSI card.

Spent 4 nights in here in May to visit the area, in particular Troyes. Chose a plot near the rear toilets in the middle of several older caravans which we thought were seasonal. They were actually construction contractors which was a bit of a surprise. They were very quiet and polite though and would go again. Site very close to lake and forest.

Having stayed here over a number of years I have to express my delight with the progress at this site. The steady improvement has now included a very large number of well-drained gravelled emplacements which really address the low-season worries of motorhomers. Careful tree-surgery has also improved the amount of light (and TV signal!) reaching many pitches. Warm welcome, good facilities and delightful walks through the woods and by the lake opposite the site. Highly recommended!
