"Quietly located campsite by a lake with sandy beach. Clean and comfortable toilet facilities. Many sports facilities within walking distance of a lovely town. Good campsite restaurant."
Travelling party: Seniors
superb little site overlooking a lake. Perfect overnight stop for us en route North. Restaurant one of the best on campsites.
Travelling party: Seniors
We initially booked 3 nights, but in the end stayed seven. We were travelling in our motorhome and selected a pitch on the upper level with private sanitary facilities. The views were beautiful. The pitch location was excellent. The private sanitary immaculate and an immense bonus. The campsite has a very nice clean swimming pool and ample for the amount of visitors. Adjoining the site is a Leisure Lake and park, with a safe swimming area for all ages and monitored during high season. The park has fitness equipment, childrens rides, table tennis and tennis court all beautifully laid out.
There is plenty of room to relax. Plenty of walks in the area and a there is a nice path arouned the lake for a leisurely stroll, which we enjoyed each day. The site owners Alison and John make guests very welcome and nothing seemed to be much trouble. The own and run the restaurant adjoining the site and the food we sampled was lovely. It is a site for you to relax in and we did just that. The visitors were multi national and those we spoke with loved the laid back relaxing atmosphere

This site is in the country and there is a need to drive through a village to access it however the location is bucolic and pretty. The staff are helpful and accommodating.
The toilet facilities are quite old, but beautifully kept and regularly cleaned.
We ate a pizza at the restaurant and can recommend it.
Certainly a site worth considering if you want to see the area.
Travelling party: Single
This campsite is amazing the owners and staff go above and beyond the call of duty this is my third visit this year. The restaurant cateres for my dietary needs.the pool during the summer was beautiful , there is fishing available during the season, they are dog friendly , lots of walks not too far from the village or around the lake . They cater for children both in the restaurant and the campsite . I would definitely recommend this site to my friends . I drive a motor home there is no problems coming to this site with one .

This was a great find. Open all year, lovely views over the lake, close to the motorway but not too close. Very helpful staff and a great little restaurant.
Travelling party: Couple
A lovely quiet campsite run by Alison, a very helpful English lady and her husband. Booked 2 nights but could have stayed longer. Everywhere clean and tidy. Toilet block, fairly old but very clean. (seats and paper provided). Restaurant open lunch and evening, food excellent and reasonably priced. Definitely one to use again.
Travelling party: Couple
A lovely well run campsite in beautiful lakeside surroundings. We always get a friendly welcome. Facilities are spotless. The restaurant on site has good food and service at reasonable prices. We have been several times and will continue to make it one of our favourite stop offs.
Travelling party: Couple
The site is under new ownership as of April this year - Alison is English. She printed off several local walks which makes it much more than just a stopover campsite. They are happy for you to find your own place and then check in when the office is open. The restaurant has a great view over the lake and serves excellent home-cooked food at a reasonable price. The wifi is a bit hit and miss, so they no longer make a charge for it. I definitely hope to return.

What a gem to find. This is a 3 star site with 5 star quality. The pitches overlooking the lake are divided by tall hedges, so although from the opposite view everyone is in a line, no pitch is overlooked by its next door neighbour and you really do feel on your own. The pitches on the upper terrace also have a view of the lake and a sanitaire block so there is no need to come down if you don’t want to move far. On the lower terrace there is a double communal sanitaire block with toilets and showers to suit all needs including disabled facilities. This, as far as we could see was the only place to get drinking water on the lower level, but was not an issue for us. Each plot is in close proximity to an electric point and easily accessible. The sanitaires are some of the best cleaned and maintained that I have come across in many years and no complaint can be made of the care and attention given to the facilities or the site at all. From first arrival visitors are made to feel at home and welcomed, with information and help to enjoy the stay in several languages. The restaurant now serves fresh food made on site and although we did not eat there, was pleasantly surprised to see that veggie burgers are on the menu. The site is quiet, well maintained and a good stopover site for the motorway where you can stroll into town in less than 5 minutes, wander around the lake, sit on the manmade beach, use the swimming pool or enjoy your plot. free wifi is accessible at reception. The new owner Alison is welcoming, friendly and she and her family and staff are working hard to ensure a satisfactory stay for visitors. There are lovely touches around the site, such as quirky ornaments, posters on the wall, piped music in the sanitaires and benches on some of the plots. I thoroughly recommend this site, whether you come for a one night stopover or longer, you will not be disappointed and we will certainly be revisiting soon.

1 night stop over going south, stayed for 3. lovely quaint site, overlooking lake. Allison and her team work hard to make your stay smooth. The toilet facilities were clean and regularly maintained (The collection of enamel potties and bed pans in the sanitaires is intriguing). Easy access from A20. New link Road before St Germain so not necessary to go through village. Unfortunately Google Street View hasn\'t been updated but road is shown on Google earth.
** Amenities in bold we know are not included in the overnight price and that there will be additional charges for them. Please note that some non-bold amenities may also incur additional costs.
A20, exit 42. Direction St. Germain-les-Belles. Then follow signs (Plan d'eau de Montréal). Campsite very well signposted.
