Stayed 3 nights late Sept 2018. Helpful staff, good facilities, quiet, very presentable. LIDL
and Carrefour within 5 mins walk, ferry 1km. Great cycle route into Caen. Good location for numerous DDay sites. Migrants are numerous but dont appear to cause any trouble. Would stay again and we havent said that about many ACSI sites -unfortunately.
Have stayed here twice before as near the ferry. Pool was under construction last year so good to be able to use it this year. Pity the gate to the path by the canal is no longer useable as that was a better walk down into the town. Toilet facilities good but would be stretched if the site was busier. Quite a few migrants around the entrance and roads this year but they weren\'t a nuisance.
arrived late on site after leaving ferry, no note of my phone booking but left I\'d and paid in morning. kerbs on edges of pitches caused a problem but otherwise level. saw many immigrants near entrance but not on site. not comfortable for more than overnight stop.
The campsite is extremely easy to access. It is level and well laid out. The pitches are fairly large with hedges. Our pitch has 16 amp power and our own water supply, hence I can use my Aquaroll float valve. The pitch does have a small kerb. I was lucky because the pit h opposite is empty so I could use the caer to back the van onto the pitch. The motor mover may have done it but it would be very difficult to man handle the situation.
From what I have seen of the pool it is modern and of a high standard. It was quite busy when we arrived this afternoon
A large site that has been completely revamped, all the old static vans and chicken coups have gone, there’s a new covered swimming pool and new snack bar. The site has wooden lodges, rental homes and solid tents, however it STILL attracts noisy French youths with loud music from cars and a group with there own sound systems, which despite complaints from a few campers were never silenced! Such a shame, a lot of time and money has been spent on upgrading toilets and showers plus the new pool but I still can’t recommend the site for more than a convenient stop for the ferry! If they cut out the noisy elements this site could be a great holiday location as there’s lots to see and do in the area.
Stayed here in June, lovely site, clean and friendly, just right for the ferry. Lovely place for cycling along the canal and really lovely along the coast path. If you’re into cycling I’d say this is a must
Very busy site. Reception staff excellent. Were sent to an already occupied pitch, but no problem as one available near. Facilities kept clean and regularly cleaned. Only downside is walking from the site there are dozens of immigrants who obviously are trying to enter the UK illegally via the nearby port so take double care with your security especially if using the ferry. Would stress not a problem on the actual site.
Stayed here for last 2 nights before sailing back.
Site has completely changed since I last visited several years ago - now a really good site & I will use again.
Only problem was communication @ making reservations.
Stayed one night before returning home. An excellent site within minutes of the ferry at Ouistreham. Shower blocks was very clean. We had time to visit the Pegasus Bridge Museum which was fantastic.
