Situated by the river amongst beautiful countryside and in a very pleasant town, Several supermarkets and eating places nearby, Ideal for longer stays or for a transit stop

This campsite is in a lovely position along side the Dordogne.
The pitches are spacious and reasonably level. There is a nice pool and children\'s play area and quite close to the town. The restaurant is good with well priced food and drinks.
My negatives are the pitches have very long grass and some look very neglected. My biggest issue is regarding the supply of fresh water. There are a couple ( but we couldn\'t find them) water points and we had to obtain water from sinks in sanitary blocks, and the disposal of waste water and emptying chemical toilet is dire. There is an aire type disposal point and the WC drain is not clearly indicated so consequently toilet waste is being thrown down the grey waste drain and toilet paper remains on the drain grille. The fresh water tap is very close to the drain and I would not use it. Apparenlty there is a fresh water hose outside the work shed but again no signs and was covered by a large tarpaulin whilst we where there.
There are no hand wash sinks to use after using the toilets, only those for dish washing, again not very hygienic. These points were raised 11 months ago and I think could quite easily be rectified with clearer sinage and some fresh water points on the outside of the sanitary blocks.

Travelling party: Seniors

Stopped for 4 nights on the way south. Extremely well placed for touring area. Site clean and well maintained. Fish and chips available at snack bar/reterauant. Enjoyed stay, Also stopped on way back up.
