A large municipal campsite with marked-out pitches which are positioned only 150 metres from the sea. There is plenty of shade. A good base for visiting Boulogne-sur-Mer and Le Touquet-Paris-Plage. With a large, partly covered new pool. Bakery 200 metres from the campsite.

Steep drive up to touring pitches at top of site. Smallish pitches on sand. Only tap for filling motorhome at the entrance service point, so not good if you had to refill during stay. Toilet block not open until 8am, so early starts not catered for. Not good access for m/homes or larger caravans.
The site is very close to a very clean, dog friendly beach. Unfortunately all the pitches near to the gates are used by statics. Tourers are sent up the hill which is very steep and from reception to our van took 10 minutes! It is also a 5 minute uphill walk with water and from the shower block. On the plus side the showers are hot and accessed by a digital card. The water doesn't stop until the card is removed. My gripe about the showers is they aren't unlocked until 8am and we had to leave at 8am to get a ferry, so on the morning we are trying to clean everything away to pack the van up we had to use our shower - just an inconvenience we could have done without. Internet is free at the reception block and available sitting in the car when reception is closed. Bread had to be fetched from the village, and due to the 10 minute walk up the hill from reception I used to go in the car!! Pitches were extremely unlevel and rutted and we even put our table on a fiamma block to level it out!
All camping pitches were a long trek from the main camp entrance on quite an incline - too much for us! Even the shorter distance to the only toilet block open was too demanding an incline. The toilet & shower facilities were adequate. The pitch for our 7.2m motorhome was just about large enough. Very limited facilities at the campsite itself and very little more in the nearby village. For a 3 star municipal site we were most disappointed. Having thought of staying 3 nights we gave up after just one ~ as we found the inclines far too demanding!
Good municipal site right next to the beach. A good site for starting or finishing your holiday for a few days stopover. Weather poor during our 2 day stop, but pitches were in good condition. As ever, everything looks better when the sun is shining.
Stayed overnight in May. All facilities closed.Small sloping pitches for caravans a long way from entrance.Toilet block very basic. Poor value. However Wimereux is a nice town with lovely beach.
Stayed one night instead of planned four. Lovely sea views, modern building blocks, polite staff. Site spoilt by lack of service points on such a large site, our pitch was bumpy, almost waste ground, needed tread mats to overcome wheelspin to get off. Even to use motorhome service point, also litter from previous occupant. Washing up sinks water was hardly even luke warm, no draining boards and though toilet area was clean there were no toilet seats. WiFi was not detected by my laptop which does receive elsewhere. Landscaping was taking place but the priority should be to sort the pitches and make services available local to the point of use, disappointing.
There were very few touring pitches and we were placed about as far away from the toilet facilities as you could get (about 100m). The showers and basin area was locked up from 9.30 at night till 8 am. The pitch was very small and uneven and we had to park so that the back of our van was close to the edge of the pitch in a place where there was a 15 cm drop to the road which sloped downwards. This made getting in and out very difficult.
