Here We go again we had the last five days of our month long touring holiday, what more can we say about this site for it's always our last port of call before coming home.As always Monsieur D adds something new every year this year boulles areas and a dog area,as stated we have stayed here for the last ten or eleven years, never disappoints
Fantastic site for stopover on way home, only 30 minutes from Calais. Good size, level pitches and lovely clean, hot showers. Swimming pool and bistro a welcome bonus, both used and very good. Will definitely use again.
Reached at the end of a 10 day tour of France this was the site we liked most. Lovely friendly staff, bar and restaurant open out of season, as was the shop. Pleasant spacious pitches and the best lovely and warm toilet facilities we encountered. The site is still work in progress, with development on going but overall excellent. Recommended for both overnight and longer stays.
We stayed for three nights at the end of our month long tour around France to be near to Calais for the ferry home. It is a lovely little campsite, very friendly with good pitches. The restaurant/snack bar serves great food at reasonable prices. Bread can be ordered for the morning. There is a supermarket a short drive away. Boulogne is well worth a visit and the coastal drive from there to Calais is beautiful. Although the pool was closed for the season when we visited it looked very nice. Everywhere was clean and tidy and we would definitely return.
Sat on the site now, staying 2 nights. Spacious pitches in the 'nature field'. It is late August, but too many screaming children for us. Off-peak I'd definitely use again, as it's an easy & pleasant 30 minute drive from Calais. Family orientated site, but good for a stop-over.
Not for us, poor welcome and even though there was a covered swimming pool and bistro it was not inviting. Will stay over in a local to the Eurotunnel cl site in the U.K. and drive down perhaps to Luxembourg and enjoy more spacious, countryside sites instead. Complacent.
Last site on our tour. Great stop for the route back, and this shows with the amount of overnights, like us. The ground is soft, but is helped with plastic re enforcing. Town is a nice walk, but shops are further afield if you need supplies.
We had the last available pitch on what seemed an overflow area. There were a lot of boisterous children not well supervised by their parents which made the pool area unsafe for small children. Amenities clean good showers with hot water. Free wifi. Is within 50mins of channel tunnel so good stopover but perhaps avoided in high season.
We have told the owner Dennis we can't keep meeting like this every June for four or five days every year for the past ten years that says it all, can't add any thing more about our favourite site in France that we have said in our last ten reviews as the standards never slip both on the site or the Bistro.
Used on return to Dunkirk. Large grassy hedged pitches mixed in with seasonal tourers and statics. A little noisy when we arrived on a Saturday afternoon.
Smallish toilet block adequate with plenty of hot water. Coded barrier at the entrance. Couple of smallish supermarkets nearby.
Emailed to check on availability as we were 2 couple with 2 largish vans. Reception responding very quickly and reserved our pitches.
