We have stayed at this site several times on our way home from the South of France to the Uk. There is a vet surgery just down the road which makes it an ideal stop to have you dog sorted before heading to Calais.
Pitches are fine. Toilets good and the town beautiful.
Large well run site bit impersonal, main gripe was that there is no temperature control in the showers, they were far too hot. Short walk to the resort where there is plenty to do and see.
We stayed here for a couple of nights in September.
We were given a list of available pitches and walked around the site to look for one. Most weren\'t particularly good, with awkward access or cramped looking. We saw one empty pitch that looked better and asked about that. We were told it wasn\'t available, but it remained empty for the time we were there. We saw others in reception debating which pitch they were on / supposed to be on, so maybe their computer system wasn\'t too good?
Anyway, we ended up on a reasonable pitch (with difficult access). The toilet block was clean and very serviceable.
We didn\'t use the pool, but it looked very nice.
It was a reasonable walk into St Valerie sur Somme and that was really pleasant - both the walk along the river and through the very pleasant town.
This evaluation has been obtained by our inspector from a questionnaire at the camp site.
A good reception at this site and the pitch we were sent to was fine for us. Toilet facilities not the most modern but well kept. The walk into town was an easy one and there was plenty to do and see locally. The old city is well worth looking around and the town was interesting enough. There were places to eat/drink though this was not a particularly cheap part of France we found. The market was a good one (Sunday). The bay of the Somme was great and another time we would take the train around it. We didn\\\\\\\'t think this site very good value (& no free wifi) however other sites in the area seem pricier so I guess it was not too bad and we would return here.
Stayed 4 nights. The reception was welcoming, where we were given a black plastic bag for our rubbish - 1st time. The water point was not too apparent but available. The town is easily accessable, either on foot , bike or even car and a jolly nice town it is, with a good historical background. Estuaries are not my favourite places, but this estuary is an exception, with a very entertainng ebb and flow. Ping pong and swimming are the things we look for and Le Waldron provided both. The pitch was level, private and ample for our needs. Overall, Le Waldric is to be recommended.
Easy access from Calais. Staff very helpful and spoke English. Reception is closed for lunch until 14:00. Site is very pleasant with excellent sanitary facitlites. Excellent location for cycling to the town and the wider area of the Somme basin.
We stayed on this site towards the end of May 2012. We loved the site and had a super large sunny pitch for our motorhome. Reception staff were very helpful, always a smile for you. We did have difficulty finding the site with co-ordinates given but eventually came across it by chance. So glad we did. The surrounding area is lovely and very cycle friendly. Would stay there again if in the area.
We usually stay at CampingCard sites, but took a bit of a gamble on this place due to its location.
The staff could not have been more helpfull - giving lots of pro-active advice about the area etc. The people on reception spoke excellent English too.....
Pitch sizes were ok. Loos/showers were actually being tidied up when we were there, although they didn't really need it. Always seemed to be somebody cleaning them too..... I must admit the only problem for me was the experience of being in the loo with some old bloke next door - as the loos, showers etc. are mixed........
Anyway - we are going back there in June and will hopefully get to use the pool, which was unfortunately closed when we were there as it was September....
This is a great site for young and old. The swimming pool, with numerous loungers looked very inviting, but closed a few days before we arrived. The girl on reception was excellent and most helpful. Our pitch was on a slope, but in the sun and beside the Boules court. There was a play park for the kids and tennis courts next door. the Somme esturay and the lovely ville are within walking distance, where you can take a trip on a steam train to the neighbouring towns. We are going back!!!
