This is not a site I will be returning to. It has the feel of neglected Municipal site. Having said that there is a very pleasant swimming pool. BUT......it\'s a shame the money wasn\'t invested in improvements to the camping grounds themselves.
As others have said the sanitary facilities are split into two buildings. The older set, which are very tired (but very clean) are by reception and the newer set in the middle of the site are clearly only 50% completed with just two showers, three WC\'s, a single (unscreened) urinal and about 8 washbasins.
The pitches vary in size, many (most?) are too small for a 7m motorhome or caravan and the access road around the site is VERY tight if you have a long car/caravan combo. The larger pitches are furthest from reception from no 58 up to about 70, you will need one of them if you are over 6m. They are also more open with far less overhanging foliage than the lower numbered ones. Walk around to pick your pitch BEFORE checking in. Some of the pitch surfaces are uneven and many are basically just dirt, maybe that\'s because it\'s the end of the season (we visited in early Sept) and its died off but the general ambience of the site is one of tiredness. Also there is a severe lack of water taps. If you find a fire hose there is a tap just below it!!! I used the fire hose to fill my water carrier, as did others.
It is not 2K from Arles centre, it might be 2K to the boundary but it\'s 2.5 miles to the Tourist Info Office which is smack bang in the middle of the city. It\'s a LONG walk! Along a busy road. There is a fair bit of parking in the city but the car parks are multi storey and, if you have a big car they are also VERY tight indeed, I have a Mazda 6 estate and on a couple of occasions I had to reverse it up to have 2 bites at some of the internal corners (which have huge kerbs to grind your wheels against just to add insult to injury) The bay\'s are also very narrow, perhaps that\'s why all French cars seem to have scuffed corners??
Arles itself is wonderful, visit the amphitheatre late in the afternoon to avoid the coach/school trips and have it almost to yourself.
A very disappointing site It had been open several weeks and yet a lot of work had not been finished. The site was half full yet there was one shower between both sexes. Likewise only one toilet plus 2 by reception. An additional shower block was being built but had only reached foundation level. No attempt seemed to have been made to complete the work during the winter shutdown. The staff had a similar don\'t care attitude and not even the drinks machine worked. None of the food facilities shown on ACSI were available
Smallish site with level grassy hedged pitches in rows. Some tightish corners but OK to get on as we have a caravan mover.
Not far from motorway. Was told Arles was definitely worth a visit but had a tyre issue so didn\'t get into Arles. Will return.
Only one newish unisex toilet block was open whilst we were there...2 showers and 3wc not enough!!
Spent 4 nights here. Very god site for visiting Arles a very interesting town. Bus stop outside, but you can walk in about 35 minutes. Some pitches a little tight, but OK for our 6 metre camper van. Facilities clean, it the old block looking tired. Pool very good. Staff helpful and polite an fod fine. Must say there is a lack of water taps as others have said. Wifi (free) had good reception around office.
Lovely site just outside Arles very easy to locate. Plots are a good size and flat with good shower/toilet facilities If you want good internet then you need to be on the row nearest office or just go and sit with a coffee at the sites bar/restaurant
just a short drive into a very busy and interesting town The site is nice and flat and the plots are a good size. Showers and toilets are very clean and the staff are very helpful would stay again if in the area
We got stuck at the back which meant I couldn\'t pick up the FREE WiFi. It was not and miss at best. There are very few water taps on the site. Which meant quite a walk, same for black waste. Only one at the very entrance. Other than that nice, flat pitches most of a decent size. The big supermarkets are a cycle ride away.
We stayed here in June very good site good facilities however not much shade due to foliage still growing... Pool good lots to see and visit in surrounding area Le Baux well worth a visit! Would recommend this site and will return when back in this area!
Camping excellent, nous nous sommes très bien amusés! Je vous le conseil vraiment ! Hâte d\'être l\'été prochain pour ce superbe camping :)
Nice laid out site with pleasant friendly feel. Sadly motorway noise rather off-putting. Needs more toilets, showers and washing up sinks when busy. Mostly very large well kept pitches. Well positioned for bus, cycle or walk to Arles.
