Don\'t waste your time. Staff most unhelpful. In fact down right rude. Did not stay to be treated in this disgusting manner. Moved within mile to Camping Du Pont D\'Avignon, which was ideal for an overnight stop in Avignon.
Nice location but only 1 water point on whole site near reception for 230 pitches not 3 star!!
Pitches tight for normal UK 4 berth caravan and sloping
The previous negative comments say it all, staff apparently appear friendly and helpful until actually asked for assistance. Only plus, convenience to city.
Would recommend using the Aire alternative that site offers.
The campsite was a very pleasant base for a winter break with a caravan. The facilities are a little dated but were immaculately clean with an endless supply of piping hot water. A lovely walk into Avignon from the site. The staff could not have been more helpful and certainly added to the ambience of the place. We would certainly go again at this time of year.
Nice city but the campsite was awful! - the toilets and showers were cold and distusting I couldn\'t and wouldn\'t wash there and certainly not do washing up there - staff indifferent - these places only stay open because they are in the city - terrible !!!
As per most reviewers stated this campsite is in a great location but lacks in most other areas. The staff were not very friendly or helpful. The pitches are hard, the toilets/ showers are dirty and small. The campsite is quite loud. The price is comparably quite expensive.
Very convenient for Avignon which is only a short walk over the bridge. Site is basic, shaded by lots of trees and there are no views but is more than adequate for a short visit to the city. It was also very busy so an early arrival is recommended. Staff very helpful and relocated us when our first pitch proved unsuitable. Sanitary block is showing it\'s age but was clean and there was plenty of hot water. We had an excellent meal at the restaurant at the entrance to the site which does have lovely views of the river and the famous bridge from it\'s terrace.
great location to walk across bridge to avignon . pitch adequate for 3 night stay . campsite bar closed at 6pm whcih was a shame.
There is a review on here from June this year which just about sums up everything we thought about this site. It has but one thing going for it and that is its proximity to Avignon. A short walk from the entrance and you can sit on a bench overlooking the Rhône and the beautiful old town which is very beautiful. It is within easy walking of Avignon either by the bridge or by a free ferry. However, the site itself leaves much to be desired and does not warrant in our opinion the current ACSI rate. The pitches were packed in, the site looked unloved and the toilet blocks were among the worst we have seen, although regularly cleaned. It is also a youth hostel, not that that made a difference. Having said that there is a well stocked convenience store, a bar and restaurant and despite all, on the days that we were there, there was a constant queue of campers, hikers and caravans at reception and the site was more or less full.
