Travelling party: Couple

This was a delightful site in almost every way. I would certainly go back there for an extended spell because of the cycling and walking opportunities. The couple who ran Le Vaugrais could not have been more obliging and their English was significantly better than my French. The area is dominated by the Grand Colombier, which is certainly a mecca for cyclists wanting to bag a major col but there are plenty of routes for all abilities (plus quite a few mor cols). Motorhome pitches were generous and most had a decent amount of shade, which was a huge plus during our 32 degree sojourn. The cafe/restaurant was popular and full of atmosphere and pétanque seemed to follow most evening meals. Slightly unusual grey water arrangement.

Excellent, well maintained site. Staff were very friendly and nothing was too much bother. Area was beautiful with walks and cycling. Only stayed 4 nights and should have been longer. Will return.

Travelling party: Seniors

The owners obviously take pride in their site & it shows - everything is well-maintained, the all-grass pitches are well laid out & sanitary facilities are spotless. Site is located on edge of village, with shops & small supermarket. Free wi-fi at reception. One of the better ACSI sites that we would happily use again.
