Lovely site but then we did have a front row view of the Rhine. It was just so peaceable again probably because we were out of season. Toilets and showers were fine and staff pleasant. Wanted payment in cash and no discount as as camping card not accepted. Also charged for what electricity you used

Stayed here last year and it was quite pleasant, more for the location that the site itself. I tried to book in again this weekend but was told by the campsite that they no longer accept motor homes.

I left a review yesterday but forgot to add that there is no wifi on the site and that they do not accept ACSI cards anymore.

Very close to other caravans, as another reviewer said, toilets and showers were clean but have seen better days. Trains run through the night, at the rate of one a minute! I got used to it though.
It was the most expensive site (apart from Berlin) that we have stayed in.

Site is located on the banks of the Rhine midway between Rudesheim and Geisenheim. Many pitches have a river view, although there is a road in front of those on the left side of the site which is used by locals for parking when visiting the attached pizza restaurant or for access to the Rhine cycle path. The road is not a through road though so there is no passing traffic noise. Pitches are quite narrow but nevertheless a good size, certainly bigger than those on many other sites bordering the Rhine. The pitches are not marked out though, and we suspect that in high season caravans will be sited closer together. Facilities blocks are warm and clean. Showers are push button but temperature can be controlled. We found shower cubicles to be a good size but would benefit from a seat or stool and a couple of extra hooks. There are no privacy cubicles. Toilet paper, soap and paper towels all provided. Bread is available to order on site. There are several supermarkets nearby, less than 10 minutes by bike and Rudesheim itself is about 15 minutes away along the cycle path. There is no site Wifi. There is plenty to do in the area, staff in Rudesheim Tourist Information are particularly helpful. Easy cycling is available on both sides of the Rhine and there are excellent train services stopping at all towns along the Rhine, which you can take your bike on too. Walking paths are well signposted and a trip on the cable car to the Niederwald monument followed by a chairlift to Assmanhausen and then a boat trip to Castle Rheinstein makes for an excellent day out. There are numerous boats offering Rhine cruises and the Rhine in Flames events are highly recommended if you are there when events are scheduled.

Having read the reviews of this campsite we decided to stop for the night on our way back from Switzerland I\'m afraid that my opinion differs from that of other travellers it was noisy the pitches were close together the toilets and showers were clean but had seen better days
The grass pitch we were on was worn to the extent there was very little grass left
there was no wifi on site (or none we were made aware of)
The power point was so far from the van it had to be run its full length and ran between tents pitched nearby
I could go on but I don\'t want to put every one of as it was on the banks of the Rhine and if you got a pitch overlooking the river it could look quite nice
Sorry

A lovely site on the River Rhein with friendly helpful staff. We found it easy to get to and had a lovely pitch overlooking the Rhein.
There are many interesting towns and villages within easy reach along the Rhein. The nearby town of Rhudesheim is beautiful and has all the facilities required - fuel, supermarkets, local shops etc.

We had a wonderful short stop here for the Rhine in Flames festival. There are extensive cycle ways along the Rhine, a wonderful Italian restaurant that is at the front of the campsite and we had a pitch that overlooked the Rhine. The staff were extremely helpful and knowledgeable.

Mary and I stayed in Sept 13 (had to enter a 2014 date to place review). Whilst there we found that the \'Rhine in Flames\' event was on but not speaking German we thought that booking/seeing it would be impossible. Step forward the lady at Reception. She was outstanding. She booked it all for us including finding a local taxi (English speaking) to take us to the departure point. Brilliant. The pitch was excellent, right on the Rhine. Local facilities nearby good too. We will return.

We spent 11 nights at this campsite, we had a panoramic pitch which had wonderful Rhine views. Very friendly staff, some of the seasonal pitches looked a bit messy but again, the people were friendly. The only drawback was the seasonal workers who where pitched at the back. They were quite unfriendly. This did not spoil our holiday in this great campsite and wonderful area (we loved cycling to Rudesheim along the Rhine - only took 10 minutes) Great supermarkets in nearby Geisenheim, plenty of places to eat and drink nearby - the local Weinstand was great.
We would definately go back to this campsite.
