An ok site. We used it as a stopover. Receptionist informed us that the restaurant was closed but failed to mention that it was providing a take away service which we would have been grateful for had we known. Wash block a bit dated but clean. A token is required for hot showers but one is provided free at check in.

Nice location as long as you avoid the route in over the narrow bridge. Facilities ok, decent sized pitches, poor electric at 6amp and no way of resetting it and office closed for much of our stay in late season. If you like a warm welcome and are English this is not the place for you.

Intended to stay 3 nights, but left after 13. Big pitches, river on 2 sides of site that people swim in. Bar on site serving good beer and simple but excellent food overlooking river. Another bar/ restuarant only 4 minutes walk away serving Italian style ( Not pizzas) food with beautiful gardens to sit in. Site easy to find..look out of the window and follow signs not pratnav.Supermarket 10 mins walk away next to icecream place. Aldi 5 mins by car. Great cycling, walking and running..also kayaking .

Lovely spaciuos site boardered on 2 sides with a swimable river. Bar restuarant open for a few hours every evening serving good home cooked food and great beer. Another very good resturant bar 3 minutes walk away along river. Supermarket 8 minutes walk away and Aldi 10 minutes drive.
Great for cycling, both mtb and with a road bike along the typical German cycle tracks. Went for 3 nights stayed 10. Follow signs not satnav to site.

We spent a 2 night stopover in this peaceful site which is very flat with lots of trees. The sanitary facilities are excellent and even provide hair dryers and hand dryers. It seems that the river used to be well-used for swimming etc but looks a little abandoned even on 11th July. The site itself if well-maintained, hedges and grass very neat, but it feels just a little lacking in ambition for some reason. Monday afternoons Reception isn\'t open but you can enter and pitch then check in later. Also there is a siesta period in the afternoon when you can\'t drive around or in and out. There is a decent sized supermarket in reasonable walking distance and other shops in cycle distance. Overall it was clean, convenient and easy to get to and from motorway.

A quiet peaceful site at the side of the river Nied. We anticipated staying one night but decided to stay 3 as we were so chilled

Senior couple. ACSI CC.
Strongly advise to ring site to check if open.
We arrived on 26/10/17 and site was closed. Difficult to find and narrow bridge with weight limit near entrance.

Do not come if you are English. The woman in charge was very off -handed. Our meal-breaded veal and chips/salad was dreadful- the breaded veal was soggy. Both of us had food poisoning within half an hour. Having driven 282 miles and then a detour of 9 miles over the mountains because of road closures we had no choice but to stay. We did not receive a receipt for payment and when we wanted to leave, another guest had to use their key to let us out. She did not tell us we needed a key to leave. Overall the worst welcome we have ever had in all our camping years.
