An immaculate site with some amazing pitches. The view from the top of the site is beautiful both in the day and after dark. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The lakeside access is very good and our dog was welcome to paddle. The walk to Orta San Guilin takes about 20 to 30 minutes and the town is very picturesque and interesting. However, don\'t get excited about the Wednesday market!

A lovely site. We stayed in the area by the lake across the road from reception but it has a tunnel to walk through to the main site. Very pretty and quiet even though we were near to the main road. Highly recommended. If time permits park at car park above the town of Orta and walk along lakeside path to the town. You will not be disappointed

Very friendly staff helped with moving large twin axle up the steep site roads. Views of the lake were somewhat restricted by foliage but I imagine the trees are a necessity in mid summer. The walk into Orta can be accomplished very easily alongside the lake and a seat in the village square opposite the island is an enjoyable and relaxing experience. English spoken at reception. Lakeside pitches are realistically only available to motorhomes and smallish caravans.

Visited this campsite several times over the years. We always like to get a pitch by the lake. Short walk into Orta San Giulio and lots to see in the area. There can be some road noise in the site, especially on market day in Omegna, but worth it for the spectacular setting.

We came for 2 days and stay 16, including flying other family out. Had a pitch right on the lake edge which was warm enough to swim in. The toilets were always clean, even on busy weekends. We will be going back this year.

Travelling party: Seniors

We have been here 3 times and have booked again for next year. The location is excellent, the staff are brilliant and the campsite is very well looked after. At the weekends it can get busy but midweek (especially in the low season) it is the best place to relax and enjoy the scenery, which is outstanding. A good centre for walking too.

I have stayed there twice and the camp site has been maintained to a very high standard with new toilet blocks and washing facilities. The site is on a hill and is terraced. My favorite place is on the top level with the views across the lake to the mountains, although the trees have been allowed to grow and now reduce the view.
Security is very good with no one allowed into the site after 9.00pm.
Across the road there is a private beech on the lake and it is not far into the town with a charming square to sit in and have coffee by the lake.
