Was very unhappy that the acsi pitches which are available are far too small as they are only suitable to accommodate a very small motor home or a small tent. If you have a normal size motorhome i.e. 6.5/7 meter size you have to pay an extra fee i.e. 26 euros per night instead of 17 euros. As we had planned to stay for three weeks this would have meant us paying an extra 189 euros. We declined to stay and went to another campsite in the area where we only paid 17 euros per night for the three weeks we stayed.
We really enjoyed this site. The setting is beautiful. We paid for a premier pitch as the standard ASCI pitches are too cramped for our large tent. We were away from the lake but handy for the access to the path that lead to the dog beach. This was in the river and our dog just loved going in there. We did not try the restaurant. There seemed to be plenty on for children. The swimming pool was not crowded as most people went to the beach. You can hire bikes and it is worth cycling along the strada dei pescatori (you have to go through the car park of the Hotel at the end to reach the path). The town of Levico is well worth a walk up the hill although there is a little train that comes to the campsite. There is a large supermarket very close to the turn for the campsite (MD).
Lago di Levico is one of 10 campsites in a cluster around this lake and a larger one next door. Luckily for us it is the first to open in the season and we arrived, along with 10 or so others on the opening weekend. Our ACSI card was waived away as their opening week charges – 13 euros - are even lower than their ACSI price! Great situation, snow-capped mountains sit behind a picturesque lake on a small beach. I can imagine it gets pretty busy in the summer but in late March everyone had a lakeside view and the atmosphere was chilled out. Toilets and showers not great and need refurbished. Can’t fault the friendly staff who helped us find a garage when our car needed fixed. Worth a visit.
Note: we stayed here on a six month European tour - our blog has photos and more: www.cantlays.com
This is a lovely campsite came for a night stayed two. Beautiful lakes and mountains, lots of cycle and walking routes. Peaceful place with friendly folk. Good restaurant with helpful and lovely staff. Good food too My wife gives all camps a feel good factor out of 10 this one scored 8.5 on the FGF. Would recommend to my friends and plan to return
Large site, easy access for any sized vehicle. Decent pitch sizes. Couple of excellent restaurants in the old town. Friendly staff. Little shade. The lake is fabulous which we were lead to believe you could cycle around, we never found the route. Wifi was free, but a bit hit and miss.
If you want peace and quiet go for the cheap pitches at the back of the site as the ones near the lake are extremely busy and noise all day and suffer party noise comming across the lake all lake. Boom, boom disco music that a younger crowd might like. Great clothes wasking facility with large machines.
Un tres joli camping de tous les points de vue. Personnel tres gentil et serviable. Le camping se trouve au bord d'un lac magnifique et a proximite d'un village sympa. Supermarche a cote. Tres propre. Il n'y a que l'internet qui manquait. Pour le reste excellent!
Located within reach of the beautiful dolomites this campsite reserves their smallest pitches for ACSI campers. A pity really because with the lake setting it is a plasant site.
