This really is a wonderful site, to echo a previous review, easily the best site we have ever been to. The staff are friendly, helpful, speak every language they could need to. The pitches are clean with plenty of manoeuvring space, the entire site is brilliantly laid out. The toilets are as clean as my own at home. Showers were hot and no push buttons. There are two pools, a bar, a pizzeria which was amazing & great value for money. We will definitely visit again especially as we were here over Easter and were invited to a traditional Tuscan celebration with bean stew, red wine & Easter cakes and Easter eggs. Everyone was made very welcome.
Beautiful site, well positioned for many visits to local towns and cities, facilities excellent. One disappointment was Tuscan feast offered by on-site restaurant Robin Hood, a good choice of name for lack of vfm. Local village Casale Marittimo offers better vfm at several restaurants, including the excellent family run restaurant Le Volte, where I had the best steak I have ever eaten in my life, equalled only on my second visit.
Excellent site in to good location for both the beaches, countryside and towns of Tuscany.
Staff are really helpful and speak great English. Pitches are of a good size and there is a choice of sunny or shaded. Sanitary blocks are excellent and very clean (no loo paper).
We visited in mid May and this was the first site on our trip to have the restaurant open, well stocked shop and a pool in action. It felt great to be on a site where it was \'happening\'. This is a large site with three pools and I think in peak season it would certainly feel very lively.
Unfortunately, during our stay there was an issue at home meaning my wife had to fly back. I therefore had to stay here for longer than planned, but I couldn\'t have been \'stuck\' on a better site. Again, the staff were very helpful and couldn\'t have done more to assist.
Very good site with beautiful toilets etc on the upper level, only drawback was the lack of toilet paper.
We had a hard-standing, serviced pitch enclosed by hedges. With a large van a few of the pitches could be a little tricky to access as the roadways are fairly narrow. Lovely views. Only 6 amp electricity.
Credit cards not accepted. Excellent value with ACSI card. Reception closed 13.00 to 15.00.
Superb camping with excellent facilities. Large pitches separated by hedges. Excellent value in low season with ACSI discount Camping Card. Two good restaurants. 5 km outside the town and 10 km from beach. Well located to explore Tuscany. We will go there again in 2012.
This is one of the best campsites we have visited in over 20 years of touring. Friendly and helpful staff. Excellent toilet and shower facilities. Great pools with deckchairs. First rate shop and two excellent restaurants. All this in breath-taking Tuscan countryside. Wonderful. We will be back.
We stayed 8 days. This is an excellent value for money site and I can truly say that if you travel out of 'season' you get all the R & R you need. Fabulous pool and very reasonable Pizzeria. Rumour has it that even James Nesbitt stayed this summer!
Robin Hood restaurant, although I believe is not attached to the site is not recommended; I found the owner very un-accomodating one evening and really quite rude. I will keep going back to this site whenever I can.
