Camp was easy to find after you’ve left the Pescheira area, on the left a couple of miles before Lezise.
Not booked in advance we were given a friendly welcome, before being taken on a golf buggy to view pitches, we accepted the first one offered as it was large and had water close by and 6 amps electricity.
It is a small site where the bigger pitches are furthest away from the Lake Garda. In fact the nearer the lake you get it actually gets very cramped, but they did get a wonderful view of the lake and beyond.
Toilets and showers are dated but clean and serviceable. The site had a small shop, supermarkets close by, bar and snack bar adjacent to the pool complete with kiddies slide. Plenty of beds poolside and cushions available at no cost.
To get down to the lake and its beach ‘of sorts’ was a seep slope which might well trouble those who are disabled or infirm. Once down there you can walk along side the lake in either direction, including to Lezise (about 40 mins stroll) which is beautiful and crammed with good restaurants.
All in all this was a peaceful and friendly site that only suffered night time noise from adjacent camps but it weren’t terrible and stopped at 11pm.
Ideal base for touring the superb Lake Garda area. We would definitely use it again.
Stayed here for 5 nights as it is a good base to get around Lake Garda.. Terraced site with adequate facilities...bring your own toilet paper, hand wash and towel as is common in Italian campsites, it is not supplied. Great swimming pool, bar and shop with a wide range of goods. Fresh bread available in the morning. Staff very helpful. There are security guards parading at night.
Only negative feedback is that it is described as a quiet site, which it isn't. On one side there is a theme park which is open from 9-5.30pm and the campsite on the other site had "entertainment " going on some nights until 11pm and at the top of the campsite where we stayed there were rented units which were let out to young people who made a lot of noise late into the night!
The Lake Garda area sadly is quickly developing into an over commercialised tourist spot!!
Lovely clean camp site toilets and showers are excellent though the site is tiered the plots are flat and spacious. Access to the lake from the site leading to pathway for walking or riding etc. planned to stay for a couple of nights but stayed longer as the area is outstanding.
We have been touring France and Italy since early May and arriving here late May this site was a little surprising as reviews mentioned 'a quiet site' and this was the first site we had encountered that was busy and getting towards full. However, in the evening/night it was very quiet. The pitches were tight to get onto with a larger caravan without a mover, but there was a great atmosphere on site and people were all very willing to help each other on and off pitches.
Toilets were always very clean and the swimming pools were excellent. Great location with lakeside beach and within a two mile walk along the lakeside to the beautiful town of Lazise.
The only downside (which wasn't a site issue) for us was our trip coincided with an Italian bank holiday and locally everywhere was very busy and the local roads very congested. We would use the site again.
We stayed here in May 2014 and found the staff very helpful. There was good access to Lake Garda and the bus service although a 10min walk from the site was good to get to Lasise. The ACSI campsite inspectors were at the site when we arrived and I took part in a filmed review. The review team were very friendly and clearly showed me that the sites are regularly reviewed. ACSI is the best directory we have found for European campsites
Picking a site by Lake Garda was always going to be tough as there are so many to choose from but this site was good and we were pleased with our choice. The cheap bus from the main road takes you to the beautiful town of Lazise or the other way to Peschiera from which you can get on the train line and easily visit Milan, Verona (only 20 mins) and Venice (2 hours). The site is right on the shore of the lake and has its own beach. It rained a lot at night when we were there and all the pitches were a bit messy but, to be fair, the weather was quite extreme. The shower and toilet facilities were simple but they were very clean and there was always plenty of very hot water.
A nice little site that I would definitely stay at again.
This was our first stop in Italy and we enjoyed it. The site was convenient from the motorway.
Lovely views over Lake Garda. Convenient access to the path alongside the lake for walking the dog and riding bike.
Pitches slope quite a lot so couldn't get the motorhome very level.
Shop on site for basic food and nice fresh bread. Also cafe.
Beautiful spacious toilet block - pity that toilet paper not supplied, no soap or facility for drying hands.
Would use agin.
Bit far from the center of Lazise. They had a Bar, but no Restaurant. Not so happy about the bathroom / toilet.
