We liked this site so much we stayed for 7 nights -which is a first for us! It was a brilliant site if you have a dog as out of the back gate you have a wonderful dog friendly beach that is ENORMOUS. Before the beach are pine woodlands with several paths to explore. A short walk or easy cycle ride down to the village is a small super market and a few bars and an excellent restaurant called The Carrosel.
The food in the café at the site was poor but the drinks were good value and the staff very friendly. The toilets were newish and very clean, there even was toilet paper. Will definitely return.

Good pitches for caravans and motor homes at the beach end of the site close to a very clean toilet block. Swimming pool clean and heated, plenty of sun loungers. Beach is reached via a gate from the site, short walk and over a large sand dune. You can walk along the beach to the nearby village. We watched the fishermen bring in the sardine catch each afternoon, fascinating. Unfortunately it does mean that there are quite a few dead fish on the beach. Good WiFi cover at the bar and restaurant area which has plenty of seating. Staff very helpful.

Excellent site amongst pine trees. The toilet facilities are excellent and always clean. It is 10 minute walk from a gate at the end of the site to the fantastic, long, sandy & quiet beach. Lovely swimming pool and sunbathing area with sun beds as well.

We were lucky enough to find a pitch near the beach side and what a beach! The magnificent beach just a few yards away with its safe swimming, body boarding and surfing was all you needed on a hot summers day. The restaurant was not up to much but the staff were all very friendly and there was fun in the bar and Wifi. One of the better Orbitor sites as we had experienced a few en-route - we would love to be there again next year.

This campsite has a wonderful beach about 200m outside the gates but the general service is poor. Camping cars be careful of sandy pitches and deep holes. We had to get a tractor to pull us out of the pitch! No shade whatsoever on more stable pitches and in July it was 38°.

Of the Orbitur sites we have stayed on this was the best as far as the facilities were concerned, the impression was that money was being spent to maintain those facilities in good condition. The staff were friendly and helpful although none spoke English. We thought there was little in the area to interest us but a visit to Montemar-o-Velho castle is a must despite our guide book saying otherwise.

We arrived with car and caravan and had no problem with the pitch. However for campers over 3T then you could easily get stuck especially with four-wheel drive! Nice to see that Day Room & Bar where 'Open' even in Winter, so you could access Internet in comfort while enjoying a coffee or beer, and the staff are really helpful, and pleased to see you.

Poor space on the pool. The pool is nice thou, but poor space around the pool. Garbage collect and cleaning aspects excellent.

Returned June 2008. Site still not very crowded. Access to flat and stable pitches under trees at rear of campsite more suitable for motorhomes but very difficult for any longer than 7 metres. Easy access to beach at few hundred metres. Site very clean, rear gate locked at night for reasonable security. Staff extremely caring and helpful in emergency. Will no doubt return here. Good site for dog owners, no extra charges, lovely walking.

Were here for several days in early '08 with friends, both of us in motorhomes. Finding suitable pitches is very difficult for motorhomes of more than a few metres. The surface was too sandy and treacherous. Back entrance to path to beach closed in winter, so need to walk all the way around on difficult sandy path. Virtually empty in winter, despite excellent climate. Beach fabulous for walkers. Nearest village with good small shops within easy walking distance.
