Easy edge of town location . Well kept site with great facilities. One way system around site a bit awkward and pitches layout not obvious - so take a couple of tours to choose yours. Once on pitch - all was well. WiFi is allegedly only available at reception or in cafe but we found a stable connection not too far from pool area on our pitch. Despite being near a main road - the noise was tolerable. We were here for 4 night during storm Leslie so we had a few pine cones on the roof!! Not far from the port of Nazaré or the magnificent waves (Praia Norte) but the roads and directions are not easy to follow. Great site - will come back.
great site set in woodland. clean toilet blocks (but no toilet seats or paper again!). plenty of places to see near by, especially the Sunday market just outside Pataias.
Arrived late Sunday, 12/11/17, checked in,very professional, setup caravan, went into Nazare for dinner. Got back after dark only to find nearest toilet block closed!
Staff apologised next morning for mixup.
Site huge, numerous shower blocks for summer. Most of "facilities" closed for winter. The exception was the Restaurant, large portions of local food at very reasonable prices.
Good for visiting Nazare,, typically seaside, great beach, good cafés.
Lovely site. Helpful and efficient staff. Plenty of pitches of different sizes. Lots to see in the local area and good supermarkets close by. Excellent dog walks opposite the site. Good showers/toilets kept spotlessly clean. whilst the pitches are nearly all level there are some steep ramps onto those pitches and if you pitch in the "dip" then there are quite a few steps to negotiate to the facilities. The best pitches are on the first terrace level on the right as you enter the grounds however if you want these then get there early.
Extremely helpful and friendly staff. Very clean facilities. Very good bar & restaurant. Site maintained to a very high standard. Excellent pool. Over all a very enjoyable experience. Strongly recommended.
Well kept set in pine trees. Hard to find a pitch that gets sun due to trees. Toilets and showers not great. Pool lovely and great to sit around with plenty of loungers and mats. There is a gym and very tiny shop with bar and restaurant bus stops outside gate to Nazare but funny timetable. Walked to Nazare and got a taxi back. Very steep hill with not good cycle path all down hill going and huge hill coming back! Aldo more than stated 2klm
Site was quite busy even in June, staff were efficient and helpful. Some of the pitches were set in a dip under pine trees so seemed quite dark . Toilet facilities were clean but quite a hike up the hill if you were pitched down the bottom end. Swimming pool lovely, clean and plenty of loungers. We walked into Nazare downhill which took about 25mins. Lovely sandy beach and promenade, you can take a funicular carriage up to Sitio, wonderful views across the bay. Sitio has a lovely square with tourist shops. On the walk back to the site there are two large supermarkets.
Specifically chose this site for wifi coverage as I had urgent business to attend to . WIFI coverage is limited, [advertised as 80% in fact not even 5%] to [freezing cold] cafe. Staff were first class, very friendly. Showers were luke warm at best.
Toilet block had two hot showers the rest were cold. Washing up sinks were all cold. Although wifi stated as in the whole campsite this is not so and only available near the reception. The campsite has an odd feel as there are numerous huge grey plastic covers over permanent caravans which makes the place look like an unopened exhibition centre!
