Quirky little site with enthusiastic family owners. As others have said a very steep walk into town and the locked hook-up cupboards are a nuisance. We were not impressed with the toilets/showers - one nice modern block but the other two poor with hit and miss hot water. At the one nearest us you had to go into the gents to fill your washing up bowl with hot water! Wonderful views from some pitches and Krk a nice little town. Restaurant average but reasonable value - owners sell their own wine and olive oil
Terraced site high above the town of Krk, about half a mile from the waters edge but quite a climb down & back. For pitches with a view, the views were really nice. The facilities were OK but not enough toilets & showers near the ACSI pitches. Very much a site for Germans & Austrians. There were a lot of static vans which seemed to encroach over double pitches. The shop had very limited supplies but sold bread & milk. The electricity supply was irritating as you had to arrange for someone to come up to the pitch to unlock the box & connect up then again to disconnect on leaving. The motorhome service point near our pitch was OK but the hose pipe seemed to get taken over by the cleaner watering the plants. The girl at reception was very friendly & helpful but the older man (possibly the patron) was supercilious & seemed to take issue with the fact that we spoke English not German!!! There was a swimming pool which looked good but we didn\'t try out. The best part of the site for us was the bar/ restaurant which was run by a very friendly lady who was highly efficient & very hard working., We had a lovely meal there on our first night & then went down for drinks on the 2nd night to find there was a do on for a lot of Dutch people. There was music & dancing plus a lot of frivolity. We were happy to watch & be entertained .
What an excellent site. We have nothing but praise for the location and the friendly and helpful way in which it is run. We were given a tour of the site on arrival to choose our pitch and offered a welcome drink.
The ACSI discount app didn\'t mention a pool, but we were delighted on a hot day to find three \'plunge\' pools, which were excellently maintained.
Sanitary blocks are excellent and immaculate.
Internet access was very reasonably priced and connectivity good.
Very accessible by foot into beautiful Krk town and although is it up hill on the way back we certainly didn\'t find it arduous, if a little warm.
We would definitely like to return here some time.
Enjoyed 4 nights lovelly site, were there when ACSI group from Holland visited and made the camp very lively. Toilets were the best that we have seen during our visit to Croatia, nice downhill walk 10 mins into Krk, can get small bus back.
Lovely terraced site with views down to the very interesting Krk town. Annoying that the electric box has to be unlocked by staff to hookup, then remain locked until leaving. Good walk to the nearest swimming bay and a 500 meter steep hill to the site from the town. Tourist office in town was difficult to find but helpful with maps for walks/cycling in the vicinity, although we tried one and had to give up as all signs disappeared - paths being upgraded we think!
Nice restaurant on the site, very reasonable and large portions and a complimentary glass of the olive brandy made on the site.
English limited in reception and restaurant.
