Excellent site for visiting Nantes, tram stop just outside site every couple of minutes. Site clean and tidy, staff very helpful. Quiet surroundings even though just off a main road. We arrived at noon on the day of the carnival in town. Staff informed us about it and gave information on how to get to the centre, it was brilliant. Sanitary facilities very clean, showers more like wet rooms. Nantes pass available from tourist information in city but beware, some museums not open when they said and others not so interesting. Take a free look at the mechanical elephant but unless your are an engineer or highly interested in machines, don't bother with the Gallery of machines, a bit of a rip off.
Very disappointed with this site given other reviews. Whilst the sanitary facilities are modern/clean they are totally inadequate for the number of people using the site. For some bizarre reason the vanity basins are in with the shower so someone using the basin stops anyone wanting a shower. In the block near us there were two toilets, one for disabled, two showers/vanity basins and a further shower for the disabled. You also pay a hefty price presumably for being near the city.
We hadn't planned to stay here, but decided to divert from our intended path. The camp site is wonderful and very professionally run. The price includes WiFi which extended to the furthest pitch from reception. It is indeed a long walk from the furthest pitch - I guess around 200 metres. You can walk into Nantes or use the tram. A city worth visiting for at least a day.
Stayed here for 4 nights in total, 2 going south and 2 going north. Toilets and showers very good. Pitches of a decent size but can be a little dark owing to the trees. Restaurant for eat in or take away good quality. Tram stops outside site BUT does now allow dogs on board so we had to walk in about an hour's walk each way mainly flat. Small supermarket 2 or 3 minutes from site from essential supplies. Highly recommended for a trip to Nantes. Can be a little noisey but you are in the city after all.
Lovely campsite with a 15 minute tram ride in to the city. Really friendly and helpful staff. Well landscaped and spotlessly clean modern facilities. some great bars just a short walk away.
This site is set in a small wooded valley and must be welcome shade in summer, but a little damp in May. We only used the toilet/showers and these were excellent. Staff speak English and very helpful. The site entrance is on the roundabout, but if you miss it it is only 200 m to next one and you can turn around. For a visit to Nantes this is ideal, the tram stops outside and be in city in 10mins. Only a small city, for those who can the whole place is reachable on foot, but you can get on the trams and buses at will when feet tired. They is a pool opposite and free to site users.
The first day we just went in to look around and get bearings, definitely good idea as when buying the Pass Nantes it is hard to fit everything in so don't waste time and get on with the sight seeing.
Stayed for 3 nights. Excellent location for sightseeing in Nantes. Campsite is directly across the road from the university and you can cycle or walk into the city on paths along the river without the worry of traffic. The wifi is free and available on all the pitches. Showers and toilets are very clean and modern. Bar looked nice and the takeaway pizzas were delicious. There is an brilliant mini golf on the site that is free but it was being maintained while we were there so we didn't get to play. There didn't seem to be a kids club or anything like that but that didn't bother us. Well worth a visit.
First class site with excellent staff. Great to visit Nantes, only €8 (buy in reception) for 24 hour transport that's tram, bus and boat. Easy to pick up tram at site entrance. No pool, but free token from reception for pool opposite. Did not use restauarant as closed for a few days. Some pitches became very muddy during heavy rain and motorhomes needed a tow off. Suggest ask for hard standing sites, but as a very busy site you may have to arrive very early for choice.
A nice campsite, in a wooded area with easy access to Nantes centre by tram, Although clean, the toilets and showers were few in number, which could be problem in high season. I have put a short video on youtube "Nantes camping September 2015" https://youtu.be/tQalem28ofM
Great location, within a 10 minute tram ride of Nantes city centre. Toilet and shower facilities good, though not really enough of them for a full site. Restaurant was good, better than the average camp site restaurant. Reception staff very helpful.
